Kuwait city, a capital having numerous high-rise office buildings, luxury hotels, wide boulevards and well-tended parks with lush green gardens. The charm of Kuwait City invites visitors and residents alike to spend hours exploring historical and cultural points of interest, all of which are situated within short driving distances from each other. Seven ring-roads encircle the city and connect wide boulevards. An oasis in the desert, the city offers a fascinating blend of the old Arab world with clear evidence of a modernized Gulf state. Beginning in the 1930s, slowly at first, the city began to develop from a nomadic port town into a booming Middle Eastern metropolis !

Just as the country of Kuwait is geographically triangularly sandwiched between Iraq, Saudia Arabia and the freedom of the sea, Kuwaiti mass media seems to be sociologically triangularly sandwiched between Kuwait's political and economic loyalty to its citizens; its religious loyalty to Islam and other Arab nations; and its dedication to the concept of freedom of speech fundamental to democracy and Kuwait's ties with the West. In 2002, the ongoing tension between these competing ideological perspectives required Kuwaiti media to perform unique three ring, journalistic balancing acts.

Among all the other Kuwait Entertainments, shopping is considered to be the most important and the most refreshing one. Apart from Kuwait Shopping, visiting Kuwait Science Club and visiting the Theaters and Musical Societies are other forms of Kuwait Entertainment. There are abundant shopping malls in Kuwait with beautiful architecture and nature-like scenery. These malls are a small world on its own with plenty to offer for all tastes.

From a nation of pearl divers and spice merchants to one of the worlds' largest oil exporters, Kuwait has undergone many exciting transformations. Kuwaiti society is truly a cosmopolitan and modern and yet it remains true to its heritage and traditions. A highly urbanised state, Kuwait offers a host of attractions and services to tourists and visitors to the country. It offers a world class experience in hospitality through its small yet strong hotel Industry. Kuwait has a very rich cultural tradition and heritage. Visitors to the country can get a glimpse of these at the fascinating places of Tourist Attraction.

The lifestyle of Kuwait's society must be understood within a framework of Muslim religion, Arabic tradition and local customs. The process of modernisation has made inroads into certain aspects of housing, occupations, dress and handicrafts but other aspects of the Kuwaiti lifestyle have stood the test of time. The changes brought about by the discovery of oil and the subsequent modernisation have not in any way undermined Kuwaiti people's distinct identity. The pivot around which everything revolves continues to be the family. The typical, large Kuwaiti family sitting together for a meal is the preferred way to dine. It is a time to relax and enjoy the food with the family, but if a guest joins in, he is warmly welcomed. Gatherings and lunches with the extended family and friends are a regular affair. The men of the family and neighbourhood socialise in the diwaniyas just as their forefathers did.

Sport has taken its rightful place in Kuwait society and there is a wide range of sporting activities and facilities available throughout the country. Sporting activities include :
1- Indoor Sports: Ice skating, Bowling, Darts, Table Tennis, and Martial Arts.
2- Outdoor Sports: Water Sports, Diving, Athletics, Team Sports, Golf, Tennis, Motor Racing and Horse Racing. Football is the most popular sport in Kuwait. The unlimited official and popular support has led to outstanding success internationally. The National Soccer Team has achieved remarkable success at both international and Arab levels. Equestrian sport also achieved impressive overseas success where Kuwait's show-jumpers captured gold, silver and bronze medals in Asian Games held in India, and won the fifth Arab Equestrian Championship which Kuwait hosted in 1985. !
